There is a really cool safari out in the desert. It will take you about an hour to get there but it's well worth it. The animals basically run free on a large area of land and you drive around in old war trucks. It's worth the time if you like animals.

The other day, I bought myself a 1991 Holden Apollo (2 liter) for $900. After my mate drove it around and installed house speakers in the back, it refused to start. Now, it sometimes clicks, it sometimes turns a couple of times, & it sometimes tries to turn but stops. I had two mechanically minded blokes look at it, but they couldn't find the problem. they say it's either the battery (voltmeter says it's fine), spark leads & plugs or the starter motor. I'm in desperate need of an effective solution. I have very sensitive skin, which only adds to my frustration. I've tried hair removal creams, epilating, waxing, and shaving. The creams and shaving left me with virtually the same issue, where my black hair was revealed through my skin. Epilating gave me folliculitis which is an infection of the hair follicles. I'm afraid waxing will do the same. Laser hair removal is too expensive right now seeing as I'm only a teen. My skin used to be darker when a few years back because i'm of Brazilian and Iraqi orientation, but over the years my skin became lighter and more sensitive. I think tanning might help but I've grown pessimistic of results. If you've had a similar issue please let me know about your stories and anything that has helped you out

ok so i am 15 about 125 pounds and i used to be a descent house player but when i went high school i went to a prep school and i made there jv team. so i started getting better with practice then i started doing clinics. i was skating like 16 hours a week for about 5 months. then i made a AA travel team. So i developed my skills i am probably the best skater on my team. i am pretty good at stick handling i have a terrible slap shot and i good wrist shot. I do amazing in practice but when it comes to the games i just do terrible sometimes, like i will lose the puck alot p it to the place where no one is no one. Also during the breakout a guy has to go on the half wall and get a p and turn up. when i am on the wall i get it but i always end up ping it to no one or giving a buddy p cause i was to late. and how do you saucer p i know its from the heel but mine just isnt isn't. In my opinion, the Eagles and the Chargers are the biggest Post-Season, Playoff Chokers of the decade. More so I would have to say the Eagles, because the Chargers sucked in the first half of the 2000's decade, meanwhile the Eagles were in the playoffs, post-season 8 times out 10 years, since a decade is 10 years, making it to the NFC Championship game 5 times, winning it just once but choking in Super Bowl XXXIX against the Patriots.

Mobile home shower spout?

Water leaks rapidly out the bottom of the spout running the hot water out quickly. I have tried to "unscrew" the spout from the fixture. I didnt try to hard cuz i'm not sure if they thread like in a regular home. Plumbing is alot different in mobile homes and this will be another learning experience. So the question, does the spout unthread or is there another procedure?

Nailing Panel Molding onto Drywall?

I'm trying to nail some panel molding frames onto some drywall. Now the walls aren't perfectly straight. So that means the panel molding can't lay onto it straight. They would have to be held onto the wall with finishing nails (all normal from what I read). The thing is the finishing nails dont grip onto the drywall especially at the parts where the wall bends just a little bit. So what can I use? From what I read finishing nails are normal, but then again they aren't made to hold onto drywall. I also use liquid nails behind the back of the panel molding to hold onto the wall (again normal to do) but how do you hold the panel molding onto the wall when the nails wont stay IN the wall?

Why is it so hard to figure out who wins in the modern day wars the U.S. fights?

The U.S. is leaving Iraq. But nobody knows who won. It would be almost impossible to determine who won. We'd have to wait years and years and see how Iraq turns out. We don't know if the Iraqi troops or police will be able to provide security. The U.S. is facing the same situation in Afghanistan. We won't know who won. And even after years and years it still may not be clear. Vietnam was similar in that sense, too. WWI and WWII had definitive endings. But modern day nation building wars are so messy and they have no clear objective. Why is that? And how can you possibly fight a war with no clear objective? How can your troops leave a nation if you're not even sure what the result of the war is? Don't the troops deserve to know the results after years and years of fighting? This makes no sense.

I know i shouldn't get advice from complete strangers, but i'm the type of person that needs to be constantly told that something is okay for me to start believing it for myself. Dunno why, guess i just don't trust ME. Okay, so i am 24, and up until now my room has always been messy, disorganized & cluttered. But oneday i just went on a mad cleaning frenzy, and got rid of 3/4 of my stuff. Now my room is looking a little bare-ish! All i have in my bedroom is just the essentials & my comforts. I have no decorations or ornaments, unless they serve some kind of purpose. My television is in my room cos i watch it every day, books are in my room, because i love reading, my bed is obviously in my room, cos i need it for sleeping, and my clothes are in my room, so i can wear them etc etc!!! I've taken all my makeup, beauty & hair products OUT and placed in the bathroom, i've gotten rid of any past memories, and have placed photos & things in storage. (i don't like being reminded of my past, the memories in my head are enough i think). My drawers are still messy but organized, i got rid of all my cushions & things, and only have two pillows now. I only have one set of bedsheets (those on my bed). i have no lamps in my room, because i have a main lighting fixture, and why would i need extra lighting? I got rid of anything that i oneday thought i'd use (ie sewing machine, cameras tripod), but have since stayed in my room gathering dust, never been really used. i also got rid of my night table & my desk & its hutch, because i just didn't need them anymore. My room is so spacious & beautiful, and i do like it, but i feel like it shouldn't be like this. It seems more like a guest room rather than the room of a 24 year old. Do you think this is okay to be like this? to have a room like this? i spend a good deal of time in my room anyways. My family (brothers/sisters & sisters in laws, nieces & nephews) are all coming over this year for christmas, and i just know they're going to say something about how horrible & bare my room is.. their rooms are full of junk & clutter afterall. If you were to see my room sorta the way i described it, what would you think about me? they say your bedroom should reflect your personality, what would that say about me do you think? Why/how did this upset my psych professor?

so today i met with my abnormal psych professor, who also to be a clinical psychologist. i was just talking to him about the cl and general coping techniques (it really meant a lot to me to come talk to him--he gave me an hour and 15 minutes of his time). but one weird moment during that meeting was when i was kinda implying something giving up and he was like "what do you mean? like, school, grades?" and i was like "yeahh, school, grades, life, stuff like that in general?" and he stared at me for like 30 seconds, and he was like "life? what do you mean life?"and then he goes "listen, you dont wanna go down that road with me" and course i had to clarify what i meant (i was talking more about cles when to know that, for example, a cl like physics is not your forte) but during this exchange in my mind i was like "oh wow, what did i just do?" obviously he probably thought i was implying suicide, but why did it upset him to that degree? did i completely screw myself up with him?

I live in an environment that rarely (basically never) gets snow. Since there isn't ever any snow, I'm able to walk my dogs year-round, although I can only go on in the evening when the summer temperatures skyrocket in the daytime. So I'm staying at my grandmother's house for the next few weeks, and my aunt (and her annoying son) frequently visit here. This is my first time meeting the kid, he's three and painfully annoying. He's only been here for the past half hour or so and I'm already about to rip the little s**t a new one. He's constantly whining and nagging for something, every time his mom leaves the room for a split second he's whining and begging asking where she is. I can understand the special bond he has with her, but seriously? I don't want to have to console him every time my aunt has to drop a deuce. I'm usually pretty good with kids and get along with them relatively well but this one is getting on my ast nerve! And he hasn't even been here that long! And he's EXTREMELY rude, he's been insulting my dad calling him a "stinkyhead" and said it in the most not-cute way, and blows him off every time he asks him a question I don't expect him to behave like a cotillion graduate but come on and outright said he didn't like me when i smiled at him and asked him for a handshake at our first encounter...the kid doen't need to be such an ***. He's really loud and annoying and has the most rigid high pitched voice, every time he utters a word I wanna smack the brat in the face. Okay, maybe I'm being a little harsh, and I'm sane enough to not act on anything, but I don't know how to deal with this kid without losing my mind. Dinner's in about 20 minutes, and I wouldn't be surprised if the brat throws his food all over. Any advice on how to stay composed? I'm under the impression that this evening won't be the only time I'll be feeling this during the trip.

Can't Afford Gaurdianship?

I have in my care a 4 month old. I have been taking care of her since she was 2 weeks. It started as just a few days a week to almost full time. Her mother is very unconcerned and unreliable. I have been trying to get her into a daycare but without a daycare physical it's not possible. Tried to get the physical but I'm not a gaurdian or parent. Her mother mentioned giving me gaurdianship. Went to the courthouse today and they no longer do gaurdianship to minors. Mentioned that I should get a gaurdianship lawyer. I can't afford a lawyer, and the mother certainly cannot. Would something from a notary give me the right to take her to doc appt's and get her into a daycare. The mother doesn't seem to have the time for anything. I have done all the calling and leg work. She's 20 with 4 kids and thinks maybe a 5 is on the way. I don't know what to do at this point. This baby is being tossed to every person she knows since she does work and has no daycare. I alsowork full time and have no choice but to return her to her mother only to have her mother pawn her off to anyone. Its killing me. Any help or suggestions as to what I should do would be great. NO, I don't want to call DCF, or DHS on her. We work together and by doing so one the baby could be removed and two it would cause a whole lot of problems at work.

just keep talking to them about it. you can even double team them with the grandparents and have a big family talk about what is going on. I can't believe that they don't see anything wrong with a 12 year old wetting the bed. I could understand if there was something physically wrong but since there isn't something needs to be done. try waking him up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, and no liquids after a certain time. they even have these alarms that buzz when a child starts to wet the bed, I know a few people that used them on their kids and they say they worked really well. and since you are the wife you can make rules and tell your husband that things won't turn around if you both including his ex wife aren't a lot harder on the kids. I'm sure they will object but you can tell them that their way isn't working and they need to try something else. discipline is important I don't know why they don't know that. they need to start being parents.

I like her! She is pretty, well put together and if she has a laid back personality all the better! About the only thing I can see that she would need some work on is her gaskin on both sides. They are pretty weak and don't really seem to fit her hind end. But this is not a huge deal if she has been sitting unused for a while. Housing ociation. Should I be liable to pay rent for a damp property?

I was given a property to rent which I have been in for a few months. It is clear having lived here that there are damp conditions - mould, high humidity, woodworm possible dry rot & leaks due to exterior damage. I was told that the property had previous damp issues due to a leak in the roof which had been rectified (obviously not). I have emails confirming this an after months of pestering & withholding rent I have finally managed to get the housing ociation to investigate. They have confirmed that prior to me moving in the property needed a new roof this was carried out however the damp caused by the previously damaged roof had not been 'aired' out of the property etc. Additionally they have arranged to give me a dehumidifier for a couple of weeks to 'dry' the place out. However again it is more cost for me i.e. electric and i'm having to continue living in the premises! My question is as they have breached there contract/tenancy agreement by offering me the the place in the first instance I do not feel i am liable to pay rent for this property, nor do i feel i should pay for the electric it will cost to rectify these ongoing issues. Do you think i would have a leg to stand on if I was to say that i would not start paying the rent until the accommodation is as stated in their contract i.e. damp free? If so how would i go about it?

Pain in abdomen..hard to describe?

I am 18 weeks pregnant and all day today i have had weird lil pains in my abdomen. they are hard to describe so ill list everything i can think of...for instance the pain spots span about the size of a dollar coin, they last 10 seconds. they dont feel like stretching pains...they alsmost feel like that feeling when you stub your toe or if you push on our belly on and get that weird almost painful like sensation in your stomach. I have been in my 4 1/2 year old step-son's life since he was 1. I love him to death, but since having my son 9 weeks ago, it just feels different. To know that I created this little boy, and that he is part of me, is just amazing. I try to feel the same way about my step-son, but to be honest, I just can't. It's even harder because he is a huge handful. His mom and her boyfriend who have 60% custody have turned him into kind of a punk. They shaved his hair into a mohawk, and he says stuff like "sup brotha". I just don't agree with that stuff. Plus, I have said for 2 years now that he needed special attention as far as learning goes with no avail. Now his daycare/preschool provider told me that she hasn't had this much of a problem in all of her 25 years experience. I feel so horrible and guilty for saying this, but it's just not the same - he's just not mine. Have any of you experienced feelings like this, or am I just a horrible step-mom? :(
