Ask about driving RWD car on snow?
rather then heavy boxes i would buy some sand bags from your local hardware store like Lowe's or home depot for instance they would take up less space in the trunk of your car and if u do happen to get stuck u can always open one of them and put the sand under your rear tires to help you get some traction on the icy roads. Also i would also use tires with a more aggressive tread pattern like the ones used on small SUV's for instance it will give u better traction in the snow and ice. trust me i know from experience i live in new york and i had RWD thunderbird and that's what help me get around in the snow
